We are in the process of upgrading our existing Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2007. We currently have public folders on both a 2003 and a 2007 server. When we only had 2003 we were able to set up reply with template on various public folders AND add a list of bcc or cc addresses to receive a copy of the reply. This meant that the public folder admins were immediately aware of a new mail in the public folder and nothing was missed. At some time since 2007 was added to the mix this functionality has failed. Senders to the public folder still receive the auto response but the administrators in the bcc or cc receive nothing. Our mail is being routed through our exchange 2007 servers so the auto response is instant but the original message takes a few minute to be visible in the public folder. Tracking message send/deliver to the PF address shows the original and the auto reply but no copies to any administrators.
Posts to the PF still generate the BCC to the folder admin. It is only mail messages sent to the PF mail address that fail to generate the bcc to the admin. We need the functionality for mail messages as the mail addresses of our PFs are published on our intranet and the internet for customers to contact us. Does it have anything to do with Exchange 2007 only sending mail to PFs as ipm.note instead of the ipm.post that I believe Exchage 2003 used?
